Happy St. Patrick's Day!! ...uh I mean BIRTHDAY!!!

This is my sweet little almost one-year-old! Her birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, so we HAD to do some theme pictures before she gets old enough to tell me no!! I'm a nerd when it comes to holidays...even the silly ones like St. Patrick's Day!! So I pulled out my party decorations and put together a St. Patrick's Day scene!

We ordered her cute little shamrock cake from Charee's Cakes!! Check out the Vendor Album on our website for her contact info!! She does a GREAT job!!

This was the best photo shoot she has ever had... just give her a cake to play with and she will sit in one spot for as long as you need! :) We had a fun day taking pics! I decided not to be such a horrible mom and got her a few presentable birthday shots, too! Hope you ENJOY!!

PEEK-A-BOO

She hates wearing things in her hair, but I sure tried!! Finally gave up and just combed her hair a little... Maybe next year she will wear her cute headbands and bows! ;)

Little Miss Cupcakes!!

Oh this baby is just BEAUTIFUL! ...and I'm not just saying that because she is my niece! She REALLY is BEAUTIFUL!! I could eat her up...which is why I brought in the cupcakes for this session... I could nibble on those when we were done and save the baby the torture!

This little sweetie is just 2 weeks old and THE best newborn I have ever photographed! She was a perfect little model and so content!

UWPG February Meetup!!

We had a very small, but very fun group meetup this weekend! It was just Terra Cooper of Magnifique Photography and myself... we met in Ogden for our February Photography Group Meetup. It was such a nice day, we decided to take a trip to one of MY favorite locations! It's a great spot in the spring and summer, but I just learned how BEAUTIFUL it can be in the winter, too!! For those brave enough to attempt an outdoor winter shoot, this is the place!!

Poor Terra got covered in snow while trying to get a shot of me through the trees!! Her flash knocked into a branch and all the snow came down on top of her!! We quickly got out of the snow and dried all her equipment and her hair!!

Thanks, Terra! I had fun and learned a few things... you inspired me to challenge myself with something that has been REALLY frustrating for me! I'm not quite there yet, but I plan to be soon!! Thanks for the practice... hope you enjoy your pics!!

February Mini Sessions!

I was sad to announce that the February mini sessions would be the last until at least summer for us! Building a house will take up so much of our time and we already have so many great events planned throughout the spring that another mini session day will just have to wait. :(

Anyway, I love mini sessions because they bring me so many different types of people for so many different reasons! Whether it was to celebrate the loss of 100 lbs, to document a baby's growth, for new business cards, or to break into show business!

February's mini sessions were certainly DIVERSE!! Each of these young ladies were so beautiful, and I had fun photographing each of them. The following images are my favorites from that day...
